# SFTP

# What is SFTP?

Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP), is a secure communication protocol used for transferring files.

Merchants can utilize SFTP to send batches of asynchronous transactions by preparing a file (or files) containing the transaction data and securely transferring it to FlexFactor.

This method is efficient for handling bulk transactions outside of real-time processing, allowing for the asynchronous processing of payments.

# How to retrieve your SFTP credentials

> ❕ You need to have SFTP enabled for your account
>
> If you cannot find any SFTP credentials, this might be due to your configuration not being set up for this feature. please reach out to <merchantsupport@flexfactor.io>

In the **Developer Section**, select the SFTP page.
